This 24-inch-class GE built-in dishwasher in Fingerprint Resistant Slate combines a stainless steel interior, three racks and a 47 dBA sound rating with flexible wash zones and Dry Boost drying.

Features

• Flexible loading: Three racks provide room for up to 16 place settings. The height-adjustable upper rack makes space for taller items in either the upper or lower rack.
• Third rack: A dedicated tray holds flatware and small utensils.
• Dry Boost: Choose Normal or High drying for the load, or turn heated drying off. Rinse aid, load placement and selected options affect drying results.
• Four bottle jets: Targeted jets in the upper rack help clean the inside of dishwasher-safe bottles and other narrow items.
• AutoSense and wash zones: AutoSense adjusts the wash to detected soil. Upper-only and lower-only wash zones focus cleaning on the rack you have loaded.
• Steam and sanitizing: Steam adds a prewash to loosen dried-on soil. The sanitizing selection raises the final-rinse temperature; use compatible cycles and check the Sanitized indicator for successful completion under NSF 184 conditions.
• Piranha food disposer: A hard-food disposer and removable filter help break down and capture food particles. Remove bones and other large hard debris before loading.
• Active Flood Protect: An internal sensor monitors water level and can activate draining when an overfill is detected.
• Everyday control options: Top controls include a countdown display, 1–12-hour delay, last-cycle memory and a control lock. The front indicator helps you follow cycle status.
• Quick washing: The 1 Hour Wash cycle is intended for lightly soiled dishes. Its stated hour covers washing; added drying, water heating and selected options extend total time.

Installation and Planning

Plan for a cabinet opening at least 24 inches wide and deep. Appliance height and cabinet-opening height are different measurements. GE’s current full installation manual and older quick-spec sheet show different minimum opening heights, including a pan-dependent requirement; have the installer confirm the actual unit, finished floor and supplied instructions before preparing the opening. Allow at least 2 inches beside the door in a corner and 25 1/2 inches forward for door swing. Follow the complete manual for hot water, drain routing, grounding, leveling and anchoring. Compatible power-cord kits are optional and sold separately.
