The GE GSS23GYPFS combines a 33-inch nominal width with 23.0 cu. ft. of storage, a factory-installed icemaker and an exterior water and ice dispenser. Its standard-depth, freestanding design has contoured stainless doors, matching handles and a dark gray cabinet.

Planning and installation

Measure the delivery path and allow room for ventilation, connections and full door movement. The 69 5/8-inch door height is not the top-of-hinge height. GE's model-family dimension guide specifies 1/8 inch of clearance at each side, 1 inch above and 2 inches behind the appliance. The general owner's manual gives different rear-clearance guidance; confirm requirements for the actual unit before finalizing a tight opening.

The installation manual specifies an indoor location from 60°F to 100°F, protected from water and direct sunlight. Provide a properly grounded electrical supply and a potable cold-water connection following the full manufacturer instructions. The CustomStyle cabinet diagrams in the general manual apply to different models, not this standard-depth refrigerator.
