Hotpoint 24-Inch Electric Range in White
The Hotpoint RAS240DMWW combines a compact freestanding design with front controls and a 2.9 cu. ft. oven. Four coil elements handle everyday stovetop cooking, while a white finish, matching handle and oven window give the range a straightforward look.
Cooking and Everyday Features
- Front rotary controls: Adjust the surface elements and oven from the front of the range.
- Sensi-Temp coil cooktop: Temperature-limiting technology is built into the four surface elements. The layout includes one 8-inch element at the right front and three 6-inch elements.
- 2.9 cu. ft. conventional oven: Bake and broil settings support everyday meals, with two racks and four rack positions.
- Oven window and indicator lights: Check food through the door window and see when the cooktop or oven is on.
- Lift-up cooktop: Access the porcelain-enamel surface underneath for cleanup. Removable chrome drip bowls collect stovetop spills.
- Standard-clean oven: The oven is designed for manual cleaning. Follow the owner's manual for suitable cleaners and care instructions.

Installation Planning
Review the full installation instructions before selecting the location or arranging electrical work. The RAS240 opening diagram specifies a 23 3/4-inch minimum opening width and shows the required electrical-supply area. Allow space for the open door as well as the required clearances above and beside the cooktop.
A qualified installer or electrician should confirm the actual rating plate, grounding, circuit, cord or conduit, and applicable local requirements. The installation instructions specify an individual grounded circuit of at least 40 amps. The range must be leveled, its rear trim and spacers installed, and the anti-tip bracket installed and checked for engagement before use. Check the bracket again whenever the range is moved.
The manual specifies 30 inches of clearance to unprotected overhead cabinetry; any reduced clearance depends on the exact protective construction described there. Follow the separate instructions for a hood or microwave installed above the range. These planning notes do not replace the complete installation instructions.
