The KitchenAid KDTS424SJP brings a Juniper satin metallic finish, a matching towel-bar handle and hidden top controls to a 24-inch-class built-in design. A 44 dBA sound rating and dedicated third-rack jets help it handle dinner dishes and entertaining cleanup.
Cleaning and loading
- 50+ total wash jets: Direct water throughout the dishwasher.
- 360° Max Jets Third Rack: The 360° Max Jets™ Third Rack directs water inside and outside glasses, mugs and bowls. A removable utensil caddy, adjustable middle rack, stemware holders and folding lower-rack tines give you more ways to arrange a mixed load. SatinGlide® rails support the third and middle racks.
- Filtration: True Self-Cleaning Filtration captures food particles during the wash and cleans the filter as the dishwasher drains, eliminating routine manual filter cleaning.
- ProWash™ cycle: Soil sensing adjusts washing time and water temperature for the load.
- Stainless steel interior: A durable tub designed to retain heat during drying.
Wash cycles and drying
Choose ProWash, Tough, Normal, Express Wash or Rinse Only. Rinse Only is for items waiting for a later wash and does not use detergent. High Temp helps with baked-on food. Sani Rinse provides NSF/ANSI 184 sanitizing with compatible Tough, ProWash and Normal cycles.
ProDry™ adds heat for drying, and ProDry™ Max provides additional drying time. The Automatic Door Open Dry System opens the door approximately 4 inches after drying to release moisture. This setting can be enabled or disabled as described in the owner’s manual. Cycle length varies with soil, incoming water temperature and selected options; Express is not a fixed wash-and-dry completion guarantee.
Controls and finish
Top tap-touch controls include a display, delay start and a multicolor status indicator. Juniper is a satin metallic green-blue finish. Optional handle accessory kits are sold separately. This model does not offer Wi-Fi connectivity.
The Leak Identification System uses a drip tray and can stop filling, drain the tub and alert you when certain leaks are detected. It does not detect leaks at inlet or drain connections and hoses, or leaks caused by cracked tubs or doors.

Installation planning
Plan for a cabinet opening 24 inches wide and 24 inches deep. KitchenAid’s exact-model specifications list a 34 1/2-inch cutout height; the installation drawing allows a 33 5/8-inch minimum only with its specified foot and insulation changes. Corner installations need at least 2 inches between the door side and adjacent wall or cabinet. Have the installer verify the opening, handle clearance, open-door space and utility routing using the complete drawings before installation.
The installation instructions call for a 120 V, 60 Hz AC supply with a 15 A or 20 A fuse or circuit breaker, plus 120°F hot water at 20–120 psi. A drain hose is included. Follow the manufacturer’s drain routing and air-gap requirements; electrical connection parts and the water supply connection must suit the installation.
