Planning and installation

Plan for freestanding installation on a hard, level floor that supports the fully loaded freezer. The manual specifies 4 inches of clearance at each side and the back, with the top unobstructed for access. Use a properly grounded 115-volt, 15-amp outlet. Choose a properly insulated and heated location; this model is not designed for temperatures below 55°F. If transported tilted, let it stand upright for at least 24 hours before connecting power.
