About this model

The Quadra-Fire Trekker Pellet Insert combines cast-iron construction with Efficient Energy (E2) technology for pellet heat in spaces up to approximately 2,900 square feet, depending on climate and home efficiency. A 52-pound hopper, easy-clean firepot and standard programmable thermostat simplify daily operation.

Choose Classic Black, Porcelain Mahogany or Porcelain Twilight, then select a surround to fit your fireplace. An optional remote and decorative logs let you personalize the installation. Washburn’s can help select the venting, finish and installation components.

Standard features

Efficient Energy (E2) combustion technology, a cast-iron heat exchanger, easy-clean cast-iron firepot and cast-iron exterior.

52 lb hopper, color dial control and standard 7-day wired programmable wall thermostat, as listed on the current product page.

EPA-certified pellet combustion at 0.74 g/hr. Five manual heat settings and automatic room-temperature control support everyday operation.

Required components

A compliant pellet vent system, electrical supply, hearth protection and installation components must be separately selected.

An appropriately sized surround is required to cover the gap between the insert and the fireplace opening. Fireplace suitability and liner requirements must be checked against the installation manual.

OAK-3 outside-air kit is required for mobile-home installation. Follow the manual’s grounding, structural and placement requirements; mobile-home installation in a sleeping room is not permitted.

Optional features and accessories

Finish choices are Classic Black, Porcelain Mahogany and Porcelain Twilight. Upgraded finishes are separately quoted.

Optional Smart Stat remote and decorative log set.

Technical notes

Use premium wood pellets only. Heating capacity is a guide and varies with climate, building efficiency, appliance location and air movement. Hopper capacity depends on fuel shape and density.

The current model page lists wired controls as standard. Some brochure text describes an earlier wireless arrangement; the current model page and applicable serial-number manual govern.

The model page labels 13-1/8 in as appliance depth, but the installation drawing uses that measurement for the forward portion. Do not use it as total depth or minimum opening depth. Minimum fireplace opening dimensions are provided separately. The brochure and model page also differ on viewing area.

Manufacturer photos may show optional finishes, logs, surrounds or room materials. These are not all included in the model’s starting price.

Mantel, wall, hearth and vent clearances depend on the installation. The manual supplied with the appliance governs final layout and component selection.
