Monessen Lyric 18 Contemporary Gas Burner

The 18-inch burner assembly includes the model-specific cover, millivolt control, auto-spark pilot ignition and oxygen-depletion sensing pilot.

Included installation parts: one anchoring bracket and three anchoring screws. Two bags of the specified glass media are included. Use only the supplied type and quantity; do not add extra decorative media.

A thermopile powers the millivolt gas valve without household mains power. Optional remote receivers and the spark igniter use their specified batteries.

Select the factory natural-gas or propane model. This appliance is not field-convertible between fuels.

An approved masonry fireplace, compatible UL127 factory-built fireplace or listed vent-free enclosure must meet the manual's opening and clearance requirements. A fireplace prohibiting unvented heaters cannot be used.

Correctly regulated gas supply, shutoff valve, sediment trap, connection materials and qualified installation are required. Confirm local vent-free approval and sufficient combustion air before installation.

Optional remote/control accessories listed by the manufacturer: RCB basic on/off remote, TSST thermostatic touchscreen remote, wall switch with up to 15 feet of wire, and fuel-matched HILOKTN or HILOKTP flame-adjustment kit. Thermostatic controls are for approved vent-free use.

The product gallery illustrates Onyx and Diamond fireglass appearances. Glass is included with the ordered burner package; confirm the supplied color when quoting rather than adding unapproved extra media.

CABL/CABR fireplace hoods are linked in the manufacturer's model document list. Select a hood only after checking the fireplace and mantel-clearance arrangement.

This is supplemental room heat, not a primary heating system. Vent-free operation consumes room air; installation requires a room-air assessment and compliance with the rules for the project location.

Do not install in a bedroom or bathroom. Operate any fireplace glass doors fully open. Maintain required separation from curtains, furniture and other combustibles; the full installation manual controls over abbreviated website dimensions.

Factory gas type must match the rating plate. The installer must verify supply/manifold pressures, pilot performance and the prescribed media or log positions.

The minimum opening table assumes an unobstructed front. For the manual's vented restrictive-barrier case, a barrier up to 3 inches increases required depth from 11 to 16 inches; a higher barrier is not recommended.

Manufacturer imagery may show a different size, separate fireplace enclosure, liner, trim or optional controls. These surroundings are not included with the burner or log package.

Installation, gas piping, materials, venting where applicable, finishing, delivery, optional accessories and tax are separate.
